Contract Specialist (Contract) - Local Government

Contract Specialist – Infrastructure & Commercial Contracts | Brisbane – On-site

We are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to manage multiple high-value infrastructure design and delivery contracts for a leading utilities provider. This full-time role involves overseeing contract administration, cost tracking, claims assessment, vendor management, and supporting governance forums.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and administer multiple active contracts ($70M+ annually)

• Track contract and project costs; review monthly claims and accruals

• Provide expert contract advice to project and program managers

• Monitor supplier performance and lead resolution of contractual issues

• Support procurement activities and financial approvals

• Drive continuous improvement and digital enablement of contract processes

• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in administration, finance, construction management, engineering, or similar

• 3+ years contract management experience in infrastructure or utilities

• Strong commercial acumen with experience in collaborative contract frameworks (e.g. TCE, ECI)

• Proven skills in cost control, budgeting, KPI analysis, and claims management

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities

• Comfortable working on-site in Brisbane
